        Lougheed Area Council Bursary (click for more info)

 


Bronze Merit Award May be given to adult Registered Members for dedicated service to Guiding in any field, beyond the basic requirements for the position(s) held.  This award is applied for by the Council or Member concerned, and must have the approval of the Area Awards Committee.

Silver Merit Award May be given to adult Registered Members for excellent service to Guiding in any field, beyond the basic requirements for the position(s) held.  This award is applied for by the Council or Member concerned and must have the approval of the Area Awards Committee.

Gold Merit Award May be given to adult Registered Members for outstanding service to Guiding in any field, beyond the basic requirements for the position(s) held.  This award is applied for by the Council or Member concerned and must have the approval of the Area Awards Committee.

Medal of Merit Award 
 

May be given to adult Registered Members for exceptional service to Guiding at any level, beyond the basic requirements for the position(s) held.  This award is applied for by the Council or Member concerned, must have the approval of the Area Awards Committee, and is granted by Provincial Council


   Del Gardiner Award

May be given to a Lougheed Area Registered Member at one of the following levels:  Pathfinder, Senior Branch, or Adult.  The Member must show exemplary service and enthusiastic participation in Guiding; embody the Spirit of the Guiding Law; continually give their best to Guiding; and exhibit the true Spirit of Guiding.  The award is applied for by the Council or Member concerned and must have the approval of the Area Awards Committee.

Team Award

May be given to any Registered Member.  This award recognizes teamwork, creativity, diligence, and synergy going beyond basic expectations when a group works to produce an extraordinary event or project.  It is reserved for a team that has created something above and beyond the ordinary, or has completely revised or improved a former event or project.  The award is applied for by the Council or Member concerned and must have the approval of the Area Awards Committee.


The Donna Kaytor Bursary  

This Bursary was established by (the former) Burke Mountain Division to recognize the contributions of active members and to offer financial assistance towards education in a field that will enhance the life of the recipient. One bursary of $400.00 each will be awarded each year.  Deadline is May 15th.

The Paddy Mantle Bursary  

This Bursary was established by (the former) North Fraser Valley Division to recognize the contributions of active members and to offer financial assistance towards education in a field that will enhance the life of the recipient.
One bursary of $350.00 each will be awarded each year.
