Pathfinder & Ranger Adventure Camp – Voyage Back: Harrison-Kilby Canoe Trip
May 31 - June 2
This is an adventure camping trip with local history connections. We will canoe like the Voyageurs and visit the historic town of Kilby. This event has quartermasters organizing food (you don’t need to shop or bring stoves). Crests will be included. Optional tech shirts will be available at an extra cost of $12-15. (More info soon).
We are trying to put together patorls of 1 leader to 7 girls. The budget is based on this ratio, and Safe Guide Ratio for this activity is 1:7. If you have several patrols, please fill in one sheet per patrol. Do keep a copy of this form & add the girls as they register so the early registrants get a spot. If you have slightly more or less girls, don’t panic, just register your girls and we will assess the over-all ratio. Explain each participants allergies in detail, including severity.
If you have a second over-ratio Guider who wants to attend, she is welcome to come camp and help core staff with the meals at the Kilby campsite – please include her in the participant list. Extra Guiders canoeing will impact the budget and possibly take spots away from the girls. Let us know if your over-ratio Guider wants to canoe and we will let you know if there is space and the cost.
Registration, forms and payment due by April 18th:
- Email your Patrol Registration Form to Riley Haslinger with “Harrison-Kilby Registration” in the subject line.
- SG2, SG5 and cheques made out to “GGC – Lougheed Area” to be mailed or dropped off to Lorraine Pogue (Camping Advisor)
