District Commissioner Training over 5 weeks in April & May!

The BC Training Committee will be offering the District Commissioner Training over 5 weeks in April & May! You can attend all or some of the sessions based on what interests you. New DCs to the position are encouraged to take all 5 modules. Attendees of all 5 sessions will receive credit for both the Getting Started Modules & the More Depth Modules on their iMIS records.

Foundation of your Position: focuses on the core responsibilities of the DC including position support, long and short-range planning, time management and succession planning.
When: April 6th, 7pm to 9pm

District Administration: topics include the screening process, record management and council meetings.
When: April 13th, 7pm to 9pm

Human Resources: topics include performance management, conflict management, leadership and team-building and effective communication.
When: April 20th, 7pm to 9pm

Building your District: topics include communicating within your community, recognition and retention, mentoring and support for Guiders and motivating Guiders.
When: April 27th, 7pm to 9pm

Risk Management: topics include GGC policies and procedures for finance and contracts, insurance and incident reporting, Safe Guide and girl protection.
When: May 4th, 7pm to 9pm
